In her practice, Kelly works to find common ground between parties whenever possible but has a natural tenacity that serves her well in litigation. She is driven by a desire to see her clients benefit from the time she devotes on their behalf and brings a commitment to excellence, diligence and hard work to Maxey Wann.
Kelly maintains a general litigation practice, with areas of practice to include healthcare litigation, where she specializes in representation of long-term care and skilled nursing facilities in medical malpractice litigation and healthcare regulatory compliance. Kelly is experienced in labor (arbitration/collective bargaining) and employment law, having represented both individuals and businesses in employment matters under state and federal employment laws. She has also represented businesses in administrative law matters under various state agencies. Kelly is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem in Mississippi.
Kelly graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism before receiving her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, where she was a Feeder Scholar and was admitted into the Order of Barristers before graduating cum laude. In 2018, Kelly received her certificate of completion of the Business Advantage Program for Professionals through Millsaps College Else School of Management.
Kelly serves in various civic capacities including currently serving with the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar, Women in the Profession Committee of the Mississippi Bar, and the Junior League of Jackson. She is a 2017 graduate of the Mississippi Bar Leadership Forum.
